Exam Protocol

1. All backpacks, bags and coats must be left at the front of the room.

2. Cell phones must be turned off and left in your backpack, bag, coat or with me at the front of the room.  Students may NOT have any devices that can be used to communicate (e.g. Bluetooth/WiFi watches, calculators).

3. You are permitted to have pencils, erasers, formula sheet (8.5x11", double-sided, handwritten) and the course approved calculator (TI-83/84, or otherwise approved by the instructor).

4. You are NOT permitted to bring scrap paper, it will be provided.

5. Sealed drink and snack containers are acceptable, but

6. foam/plastic ear plugs (not earphones) are acceptable.  Hoods/hats which conceal the face or ears are not permitted.

6. Turn in all formula sheets and scrap paper with your exam.

7. If you have a question or need anything, raise your hand and the instructor will assist you.  Do not communicate with other students.

8. Keep your exam and formula sheet in front of you.  Try to keep them out of the view of students around you.

9. If at all possible, do NOT sit beside the students that you regular sit with.  You may be asked to change seats if the instructor has any concerns that you might be trying to communicate with other students.  Please follow these instructions quickly and quietly, you can discuss any other concerns with your instructors after the exam is over.

CHEATING ON EXAMS IS NOT A GAME:
IT IS A SERIOUS ACADEMIC OFFENCE
